Which form to use
Short tag. One parameter and one value, like yoursite.com/?ut=reddit-launch. upTake reads it, files the visit under that tag, then removes it from the address bar. Use one tag per post.
UTM parameters. The standard understood by most analytics tools: a source, and optionally a medium, a campaign and a content label. upTake reads utm_source too.
Never put a tag on a link between two pages of your own site: it would replace the real origin of the visitor. See what upTake reads from each service.
