Know which posts bring Polar customers
Paid orders from Polar, matched to the visit that led to them.
What upTake reads from Polar
upTake reads your paid orders and subscription payments from Polar: the amount, the currency, the date, and the identifiers of the payment and of the customer. The first sync goes back 90 days; after that, only what is new is fetched, and a payment already imported is never counted twice. Each payment is then matched to the visit that led to it: exactly when your checkout passes upTake's visitor identifier, otherwise by time, and a payment matched by time is always shown as estimated.
How to connect Polar
You need an upTake project first; creating one takes about four minutes. Click Connect on the Integrations page; a small window asks for what Polar needs. Organization access token: In Polar, open your organization Settings → Developers and create an access token with the orders:read scope. Webhook secret (optional): For live payments: in Settings → Webhooks, add an endpoint with the address shown here after connecting, pick order.paid, and paste its secret here. upTake checks it with Polar before saving it. To receive payments as they happen, in Polar, open Settings → Webhooks → Add endpoint, paste this address, choose the raw format, select order.paid, and save its secret here.
What you see afterwards
Your revenue appears on the overview, split by the source that brought each customer: the post, the link or the release behind it. The weekly report tells you which actions paid and which only brought attention. Revenue is always shown apart from visits, and anything upTake had to estimate is marked as estimated.
What upTake never reads
upTake never reads or stores card numbers. It never moves money, issues a refund or changes anything in your Polar account.
Whatever you connect, the IP addresses of your visitors are never stored, and the keys and accesses you give are stored encrypted and never sent back to your browser.
Good to know
You can disconnect Polar at any time from the Integrations page: upTake stops at once, and what was already imported stays in your project until you delete it. Your data is hosted in the European Union, and you can export all of it, or delete your account, from Settings.
Why connect it
Most analytics tools stop at where your visitors came from. upTake goes one step further: it ties each visit and each payment back to the thing you did, whether a post, a link you shared or a release you shipped, and tells you every week what to do more of. Polar is one more piece of that picture.
